Up over the top of the historic Denniston Plateau runs a smooth, flowing gravel road that's easy going and well graded. The main route doesn't ask much, but there are plenty of little side tracks branching off into the old mining country if you want to poke around.

The plateau opens out into wide views across the surrounding landscape, so it's worth the drive for the scenery alone. There's a fair bit of mining history scattered about too, with points of interest along the way for anyone keen to explore.

The area still sees active mine traffic, so keep an eye out and give the working vehicles plenty of room. A relaxed, accessible run that suits most setups.
