4WD track in the West Coast region
Triopahi River is a short West Coast gravel detour through native forest to a boggy river entry, a handy quick poke around for 4WDs.
A short detour off the highway, with the main road an easy gravel drive in. Native forest closes in around you the whole way, which is really the reason to turn off and have a look.
Once you reach the river the entry can get pretty boggy, so pick your line and be ready to get the wheels dirty. From there it looks to carry on a fair distance, though I didn't push much past the river myself.
Good one for a quick poke around if you're passing on the Coast and want a bit of bush and a river.
