Top House Road is a short gravel road in Marlborough that provides a handy link between two highways. It makes for a pleasant, easy short-cut and is well suited to most vehicles when conditions are good. Along the way you'll encounter two fords, one of which is usually dry while the other can carry some flow, so expect at least one genuine river crossing. The going is straightforward gravel with little in the way of obstacles, making this a relaxed drive rather than a technical challenge. It's a nice little route to tick off if you're passing through the area and want an alternative to the sealed highways.
