An easy gravel run into the historic St Bathans area. The road stays smooth and well graded the whole way.

There are some good views out across the valley as you go, with the open tussock and farmland country that's typical round Central Otago. It makes a pleasant approach to St Bathans, a former gold-mining settlement.
