A short beach hop along Robin Hood Bay in the Marlborough Sounds, southeast of Blenheim. This easy run takes you onto the sand of a sheltered bay that makes a great spot for a lunch break and a swim. The going is straightforward but the sand can be very soft, so let your tyres down and keep your momentum. At a lower tide it's possible to drive the whole length of the bay. Long drop toilets are available at the beach access on the north end and at the campground, making it handy for a quick stop or a longer stay by the water. A relaxed, scenic detour for those exploring this corner of the coast.
