Robin Hood Bay

4WD track in the Marlborough region

Robin Hood Bay is an easy Marlborough Sounds beach run southeast of Blenheim, with soft sand, sheltered swimming, and long drops at each end.

(1)

A sheltered bay tucked into the coast southeast of Blenheim, with a stretch of sand that's well worth a stop. Easy run for a lunch break and a swim, and a relaxed detour if you're exploring this corner of the Sounds.

The going is straightforward, though the sand can be very soft. Let your tyres down and keep your momentum up. At lower tide you can drive the whole length of the bay.

Long drop toilets sit at the beach access on the north end and at the campground.
