A short legal easement runs down to the Ahuriri River as you head up the valley through the high country. It's there purely to get you to the riverbank, so don't expect a long adventure on this one.

The country around here is classic Ahuriri: open valley floor, braided river flats, and mountains on either side. Handy spot to reach the water before carrying on further up the valley.

Bear in mind it's an easement across what may be private or managed land, so stick to the route, leave gates as you find them, and tread lightly to keep access open for everyone who follows.
