Napenape Beach is a rare drive-on coastal run in North Canterbury, a short sandy hop along a wild, exposed shoreline with open sea views.
A short coastal run, this is one of the few South Island beaches you can actually drive along.
Keep a close eye on the tides and conditions, since beach driving can change fast and soft or wet sand can catch you out. You might be sharing the space with anyone fishing or just out for a wander along the shore.
