Accessed off SH73 near Castle Hill, the Mt Cheeseman ski field road climbs steeply for 12 km into the Craigieburn Range. The gravel surface is narrow, winding, and exposed in places, with sharp drop-offs and limited passing. 4WD is recommended, and chains are often required in winter.
