Mount White Road is a scenic high-country gravel road in inland Canterbury, following the Waimakariri River through wide open tussock flats beneath the Southern Alps. The route offers spectacular alpine views throughout, with the braided river winding across the valley floor below the peaks.

The historic one-lane Mount White Bridge provides a memorable crossing over the river. Originally built in the late 1800s, the timber bridge remains one of Canterbury's most iconic backcountry landmarks and serves as the gateway to several DOC tracks and the surrounding high country.
