Just off the highway there's a short little track that drops down onto the Mikonui River. It's an easy spot to pull over, have a cruise along the riverbed, or just hang out by the water for a bit.

The track itself is short and simple, but the exit back up can be soft, and that changes with whatever the river's been doing. Worth having a look on foot before you commit, especially after high water.

Nothing too serious. It's a handy stop if you're heading down the coast and fancy a break by the river.
