4WD track in the Canterbury region
Meyers Pass is an easy South Canterbury gravel crossing through the Campbell Hills, with a pass near 700 m, an old stone bridge and wallabies about.
A scenic gravel road through the Campbell Hills, climbing to a pass at around 700 m. It runs between the Waihao Basin near Waimate on the east and the Hakataramea and Waitaki Valley toward Kurow on the west, so it makes a good crossing between the two.
There are a couple of fords to cross and livestock roam on and around the road, so watch for stock and water crossings and leave gates as you find them. Pairs well with nearby trips like Mt Studholme if you're making a day of it.
