Lower Acheron Bridge is a quick Canterbury side trip dropping off the main route to a bridge with good views over the Acheron River below.
A short side trip off the main route, dropping down to reach the bridge over the Acheron River. The drive down isn't much to write home about. The reason to bother is the bridge itself. Pull over and look down at the Acheron River carving through the rocks below.
