An easy run through classic Central Otago high country, rolling tussock and open farmland with big skies and views that go a long way. The gravel is relatively smooth, so it suits most vehicles and makes a relaxed leg between the more demanding tracks nearby.

Linnburn Runs Road links a few backcountry routes together, connecting Old Dunstan Road with Onslow Lake Road via Deep Creek Road. Handy for stitching together a longer day out in the area.

There's not much in the way of technical challenge, so it's more about the scenery and the connection it gives you than the driving. Keep an eye out for the hawks soaring overhead.
