A short, easy gravel road that drops down to the stunning Lake Coleridge in inland Canterbury. The track is a bit bumpy in places but well graded, making it an accessible detour well worth taking on your way through the high country. It rewards you with fantastic views over the lake. There's a long drop toilet at the end, so it's a comfortable spot to pull up and take in the scenery. A magic place to hang out for the day in summer, soaking up the lake and mountain surrounds.
