Down through Otago high country, this gravel road follows toward the Greenstone River with Lake Wakatipu opening out behind you. It's classic Southern Lakes country, the river at the end of the run and mountains all the way round.

Like most roads through here, it's an easy, picturesque drive rather than anything technical. Good one for a relaxed day out where the scenery does the work and you can take your time.

Worth bringing a camera and allowing plenty of time to pull over for the lake and mountain views.
