Out past Fox Glacier, an easy gravel road runs through bush and open country to the coast in remote South Westland. It ends at a rugged, driftwood-strewn beach with views sweeping along the shoreline, and on clear days the Southern Alps stand out inland.

It's a quiet, scenic spot to stretch the legs and have a wander along the shore. Plenty of remote coastal atmosphere out here.
