Up toward the Wilberforce River, this is an easy gravel run through high-country Canterbury. Well-formed the whole way with no real obstacles.

The views are what people remember. You get the braided Rakaia River spread out below and across to Double Hill, with plenty of spots worth pulling over for a photo. It's the sort of cruise where you'll find yourself stopping just to look.
