A short 4WD run up the Ahaura, this one's more about parking up and hanging out than chasing a long technical mission. A few different access points give you options for where to drop in and how far you want to roam along the riverbed.

It's a braided river, so the going changes season to season as the water shifts the gravel and channels around. Watch for deep spots when you're crossing or following the river, and read the water before you commit to a line.
