A short turn-off that drops down to the Wildlife Hut, tucked in the kind of bush-clad hill country you get up the Waikato. Nothing too long, but worth taking your time on.

As the name suggests, this is hunting country, so keep an eye out for other vehicles and hunters while you're on the track. The route narrows in places on the way down, so take it easy and be ready to give way.
