A through route that heads through the Whirinaki Forest from SH5 up to Minginui. The main route is a fairly easy drive and offers up a mix of native forest and pine forest as you head through. There are a heap of side routes that vary from easy to less so. You can easily spend an entire day (or more) exploring the various parts of the forest. Take your time, enjoy it and leave no trace.
