Out on the wild west coast near the settlement of Waimamaku, not far from the Hokianga, this short access route runs down toward the open Tasman. The road takes you about as close as you can get to Waimamaku Beach.

There's no driving onto the sand here. To get down to the beach you'll need to walk over the dunes.
