Uretiti Beach is a stunning stretch of Northland coast, with amazing sand and wide ocean views that make it a mint spot to spend an afternoon soaking it all in. The entrance onto the beach is hard packed, leading onto open sand and dunes where you can pull up and enjoy the surroundings. Keep your speed down and watch out for other beach users, as this is a popular, shared spot.
There are no-vehicle zones at the northern and southern ends of the beach, so avoid travelling beyond the line marked on the map.
As with any beach drive, keep a close eye on the tides and plan your run with the water in mind. A relaxed, scenic beach outing rather than a technical challenge, suited to a laid-back day exploring the Northland coastline.
