A gravel route linking SH2 through to the Mahia coast, this one makes a relaxed alternative to the main highway. It winds steadily down towards the coast with pleasant rural views opening up along the way.

The road's well formed and easy going, fine for most vehicles. No technical challenge and no bush rash to worry about, just a casual gravel drive.
