Heading deep into native forest near the geographic centre of the North Island, this one winds through thick stands of bush that keep things shady and quiet. A peaceful drive well off the beaten path, with the trees closing in for plenty of shade and seclusion.

Near the end of the track there's a sneaky little campsite tucked away in the trees. Good spot to pitch up for the night and settle in with the bush all around you.
