A well-graded metalled road winding through the Pureora Forest, giveing you a taste of native bush without the commitment of the harder tracks nearby. The King Country 4WD Club keeps it maintained, so it's an accessible gravel drive in its own right. Branching off onto other routes in the area is another matter though, and best not taken lightly.

The bush is the main drawcard. Beautiful native forest with some genuinely huge trees lining the way. Expect medium bush rash where the foliage closes in. There's some good history through here too, worth slowing down for.
