Gentle gravel winding through hills and farmland, with the kind of open rural views you get all through this part of the Waikato. It links up neatly with the other country roads around here, so it's easy to string together a longer run, including along the coast.

The surface is smooth and well-formed, suitable even for two-wheel-drive vehicles. More of a relaxed cruise than anything technical, with no rough going to speak of.

Good one if you're after an easy scenic drive and a bit of a poke around the wider network of back roads nearby.
