Winding up through the hill country forest, this is a trickier run that follows the lie of the land as it climbs and dips. The track threads through native bush and plantation, with quiet, scenic surroundings the whole way.

Porter Road can be more of a challenge and best left to confident drivers. The surface gets slippery and traction hard to come by after rain, and depending on the day you might need a winch to get through the steeper or greasier sections. Worth travelling with a second vehicle.
