A short link through the rolling farmland and hill country of the Turakina Valley, connecting Turakina Valley Road with Pohonui Road. Okaka Road is more about getting from A to B than a destination in its own right.

It's easy to overlook on the map, but handy when you're piecing together a loop or stringing a longer day out on the surrounding gravel. Sits in the kind of sheep-and-cattle country that's typical of the central North Island backcountry.

Good one to keep in mind if you're exploring the wider valley and want to save a bit of time.
