A short spur that drops off the main route down onto the Mohaka River bed in the inland country. It doesn't run far, but it's worth a nosey on your way past for a look at the river.

Once you're down the bottom it's typical riverbed terrain, with the surroundings shaped by the Mohaka's banks and gravels. The river itself is the highlight, cutting its way through the landscape.

More of a quick detour than a destination, but a handy spot to stretch the legs, take in the scenery, or break up a longer trip through the area.
