Out in the Hawke's Bay backcountry, this unsealed farm road runs through quiet rural country well away from the crowds, finishing at a small campsite at the end.

It's basic gravel the whole way, with two fords to cross. Water depth varies a fair bit with the weather, anywhere from hub-deep to over the wheels on 31s, so it pays to check recent rain before heading out.

At the end is a remote little campsite tucked into the landscape, a good spot to pitch up for a peaceful night.
