Kururau Road is an easy, well-graded gravel touring route through Waikato hill country, with rolling farmland, bush slopes and plenty of corners.
A gravel run through the hill country, climbing and twisting past rolling farmland and bush-clad slopes. It makes a pleasant change from the highway, with far better views than the main road and a quiet rural feel the whole way.
Kururau Road is notably windy with plenty of corners, so keep left and take your time.
