Easygoing gravel running through the Central Plateau forest, with typical plateau bush most of the way and a few small side tracks branching off if you fancy a quick detour. The drive out leads to the popular Piropiro Campsite.

The main road is basic but well formed, and most vehicles will handle it. The bush crowds the edges in places, so expect things to get a bit scratchy. It's a relaxed cruise rather than anything technical, a good run out to camp.

Piropiro Campsite at the end has some decent spots to pitch up for the night, surrounded by the same forest.
