A short forest run that threads out to the start of the Ketemaringi Route. More of a quick hop than a full day out, but a handy connector if you're carrying on to the route beyond.

The drive winds through classic central North Island bush, plenty of leafy native cover and the quiet of the trees rather than big open views. It's a pleasant enough stretch to take slowly.

Use it as the gateway to the Ketemaringi Route, and enjoy the native scenery on the way through.
