Right on the edge of Lake Taylor, this is high-country camping in the middle of Lake Sumner Forest Park. The setting is the drawcard, open lakeside with big views, and it's a popular spot for fishing and water sports or for heading out on foot or by bike.

Sites are non-powered and suit tents. There's a shelter or kitchenette for cooking with a water tank for washing up, and a non-flush longdrop. Water comes from a tap but it's untreated, so boil it before drinking. With a bit of help the site is wheelchair accessible.

The access track is easy enough for most vehicles when conditions are good. If you're after more of a challenge, you can link onto the track down towards Loch Katrine from here. The one thing to plan for is wind. That open lakeside position really catches it, so bring sturdy pegs and something solid to shelter behind.
