(2)

Kerr Bay Campsite sits right next to Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park, surrounded by native beech forest with a boat launching ramp close by. The lakeside setting is beautiful in both summer and winter, and there's good swimming to be had down the left of the wharf.

This is a popular and well-appointed DOC site, considered something of a luxury for a national park camp. Facilities are excellent, with hot showers, flush toilets, laundry, a cooking shelter with cookers, a dump station, plus both powered and non-powered tent sites, and treated tap water suitable for drinking. The campsite is also wheelchair accessible.

Do note that dogs are not allowed anywhere around the lake. The campsite is very popular and fills up quickly over holiday periods, so booking ahead is strongly recommended during busy times.
