Right on the edge of Lake Rotoiti, with native beech forest all around and a boat ramp close by. The lakeside setting looks good year round, summer or winter, and there's decent swimming down the left of the wharf.

For a DOC camp this one's a bit of a luxury. Hot showers, flush toilets, laundry, a cooking shelter with cookers, a dump station, and both powered and non-powered tent sites. Treated tap water suitable for drinking, and it's wheelchair accessible too.

Worth knowing that dogs aren't allowed anywhere around the lake. It's a popular spot and fills up fast over the holidays, so book ahead if you're coming through in the busy stretches.
