A handy gravel shortcut for anyone heading up into the hills, trimming off a bit of seal to get you onto the gravel that bit sooner. True to the name, it winds through a series of bends as it climbs.

The terrain is plain gravel and rates as very easy. On the way down you get a good look over the Rakaia Gorge. It can turn slippery in slushy snow over the colder months, but it's an easy run once things warm up.

More of a short scenic link than a destination, but a pleasant way to join the gravel network while taking in the high-country scenery.
