Out on the remote southern Wairarapa coast, this run takes its name from the big white rock that dominates the shoreline. The drive heads out through rolling, isolated farmland and hill country before dropping down to the rugged coast, where you get wide-open sea views.

It's gravel for most of the way in and generally well maintained, though it narrows in places, so take it steady and keep an eye out for oncoming traffic on the tighter sections.
