4WD track in the Southland region
Tautuku Beach is a short, quiet golden sand beach run in the Catlins of Southland, with firm sand and a south end that floods at high tide.
Down near the very bottom of the country, in the Catlins, this is a short run along a golden sand beach. Quiet, scenic, and about as remote as it gets.
The entry and exit are a tad soft and can soften further with the weather, but they shouldn't cause too many issues. Past that it's a straightforward drive on firm golden sand.
The south end goes underwater at high tide, so time your run with the tides to keep the full length open. A good wee beach for an easy, scenic cruise.
