(2)

State Forest 70, known as SF70, is a challenging bush track loop set in the forested country of the Waikato. The route winds through dense native and plantation bush, offering a real test for anyone who enjoys getting their rig dirty.

This is hard yaka terrain, so it shouldn't be attempted solo and a winch will be required. There's a real mix of difficulty on offer, from relatively easy sections through to extremely hard, technical lines. There are many different routes and lines to pick, so you can match the challenge to your vehicle and your nerve; the description here covers the main loop running around the forest area.

The technical terrain can do vehicle damage if you're not careful, so expect some bush rash and pick your lines wisely. It's a highly rated track among those who enjoy a proper test of their driving and recovery skills.

Remember to look after the place, take your rubbish out, and leave it better than you found it.
