Up at the far north of the Coromandel Peninsula, this is an easy cruise along a winding, well-maintained gravel road running through to Port Charles. The scenery is classic Coromandel country, and the road mostly works as the access route for anyone carrying on to Stony Bay.

At Stony Bay there's a DOC campsite, a popular spot to base up and explore this remote corner of the peninsula. Good option if you're heading to the coast and just want an easy, scenic drive.
