This one's barely a track, more a short gravel pull-off only a few hundred metres long. The whole point is to park up and frame your 4WD against Aoraki/Mt Cook sitting big in the background.

It's all about the view, and you'll want clear conditions for it. Sunrise is the pick if you're after the photo. When the mountain is out you'll get a postcard shot with hardly any effort, but if the weather's in there's not much to it. Best tacked onto a longer day out in the high country rather than a drive in its own right.
