Meads Road is an easy Otago gravel run along Lake Hawea from The Neck out to Kidds Bush Reserve Campsite, through beech bush with side tracks to the water.
Branching off The Neck on the shore of Lake Hawea, this is an easy gravel run out to Kidds Bush Reserve Campsite.
Keep an eye out for a few little offshoots that drop down to the water. The boat ramp is one of the main ones, and the short detours are worth it for lake access and the views.
On a clear day it's worth calling in at Kidds Bush for lunch or a swim, and the campsite makes a relaxed spot to settle in.
