A short gravel road climbing up to the dam, not far from Alexandra. It kicks off with a decent climb but stays easy and well-graded, so most vehicles will manage it in the dry.

The best of it comes on the way back down, with good views looking out over Alexandra and the country around it. The dam itself is a quiet spot to pull over and take it in, though it can sit fairly low at times.

It's signed at the start as a dry-weather road only, so save it for fine conditions. Head up in the wet and you'll want a proper 4WD. A relaxed, scenic run that's well worth the short trip up.
