Tucked into the Kaimanawa Forest Park in the ManawatuWhanganui region, Te Iringa Campsite sits at the start of the Te Iringa Track, a route popular with hunters, trampers and mountain bikers. The setting is quiet and bush-clad, surrounded by forest with plenty of firewood usually available nearby.

It's an easy site to pull into and set up. Facilities are basic but useful: non-powered tent sites, non-flush toilets, and a fire pit for campfires (except during fire bans). This is a working backcountry spot rather than a manicured camp.

Being a trailhead used by hunters, expect some coming and going at various hours, including through the night. It makes a handy base for exploring the track and the wider park. Bring everything you need, as amenities are minimal and you're well into the forest park here.
