Robin Hood Bay Campsite

Campsite in the Marlborough region

(2)

Tucked right next to the beach at Robin Hood Bay, this is a popular free campsite in the Marlborough region, within easy reach of Picton and the wider Blenheim area. The setting is the main draw: pitch a tent or park up just back from the sand, fish or surf at the nearby beach, and keep an eye out for Hector's dolphins offshore. Many visitors arrive after a ferry crossing into Picton and find it a handy first stop. Facilities are basic but useful, with non-flush long-drop toilets and water available from a stream. There's plenty of flat ground for non-powered and tent sites, though some spots are uneven, so it pays to bring chocks to level your rig if needed. A relaxed, scenic beachside spot that's well-rated by those who make the trip.
