Rarangi Campsite

Campsite in the Marlborough region

(2)

Set right behind the beach at Rarangi, north of Blenheim and about 30 minutes from the Picton ferry, this is a handy and popular spot in coastal Marlborough. Camp next to the beach to fish, walk, picnic, or simply sit and enjoy the roar of the waves. Non-powered and tent sites sit beneath pine trees that offer good shade, and there are flush toilets along with a cold shower. Tap water is available but is untreated, so boil it before use. The site is wheelchair accessible. A short walk leads to some interesting caves worth exploring. Being so close to the ferry, it's a favourite stopover and fills up fast, particularly with campervans, so arriving early is wise during busy periods.
