Campsite in the Marlborough region
Rarangi Campsite is a popular beachside spot in Marlborough, close to the Picton ferry, with shady pine trees, cold showers and nearby caves.
Right behind the beach north of Blenheim, this is an easy spot to pull into, about 30 minutes from the Picton ferry. You can fish, walk, or just sit and listen to the waves roll in. A short walk from Rarangi leads to some caves worth a look.
Non-powered and tent sites sit under pine trees that give good shade. There are flush toilets and a cold shower. Tap water is on hand but untreated, so boil it before use. The site is wheelchair accessible.
Being so close to the ferry, it's a favourite stopover and fills up fast, particularly with campervans. Worth turning up early over the busy periods.
