Rarangi Campsite

Campsite in the Marlborough region

Rarangi Campsite is a popular beachside spot in coastal Marlborough near Blenheim, with shady pine sites, cold showers, and nearby caves to explore.

(2)

Set right behind the beach at Rarangi, north of Blenheim and about 30 minutes from the Picton ferry, this is a handy and popular spot in coastal Marlborough. Camp next to the beach to fish, walk, picnic, or simply sit and enjoy the roar of the waves.

Non-powered and tent sites sit beneath pine trees that offer good shade, and there are flush toilets along with a cold shower. Tap water is available but is untreated, so boil it before use. The site is wheelchair accessible.

A short walk leads to some interesting caves worth exploring. Being so close to the ferry, it's a favourite stopover and fills up fast, particularly with campervans, so arriving early is wise during busy periods.
