A small clearing beside the Pohangina River, tucked well up the valley where not much passes through. Quiet and remote, it's a peaceful riverside spot away from the crowds.

The ground is nice and flat, with room for about five vehicles plus your camping gear. Facilities are basic: a non-flush toilet and water drawn straight from the stream, so come set up to be self-sufficient.

The river's right there for water and even jet boating, which makes it handy if you're exploring the valley by boat as well as on four wheels. Good low-key pick if you're after a tent or vehicle camp well off the beaten track.
