Parsons Rock Reserve

Campsite in the Canterbury region
(1)

Parsons Rock Campsite is a large sprawling camping ground on the banks of Lake Aviemore. The campsite is divided into two sections on either side of the entrance from the road. This is very much a place for enjoying the outdoors, fishing and lake activities. Facilities are basic.

Registration to be paid upon arrival, either in the honesty box at the entrance, or to the camp warden. There is a boat ramp for accessing the lake. No open fires are permitted, and dogs must be kept on lead at all times.

The Waitaki Lakes camping season opens from the third Saturday of September until the Monday of Queen's Birthday Weekend.
