Otamure Bay is a DOC campsite tucked into a sheltered beach-front setting near Whananaki on the Northland coast. Large pōhutukawa trees line the shore, offering shade over the non-powered tent sites, and the bay's clear water makes it a relaxing base for swimming, snorkelling and exploring the coastline.

There's a boat launch for those keen to get out on the water, or you can simply unwind on the beach and wander along the coast. The snorkelling visibility here gets a lot of praise. Facilities are basic but well kept, including a cooking shelter, cold-water showers, non-flush toilets, and untreated tap water that should be boiled before use. There's also wheelchair-accessible access.
