Beside Lake Mahinapua, with native forest wrapped around the shore, this is an easygoing lakeside spot with plenty of room to spread out. Non-powered and tent sites, and it works as either an overnight stay or a day stop.

The lake sits calm most of the time and is good for a swim or getting out on the water. There's a jetty and boat launching, plus flush toilets, a cold shower, a cooking shelter, and tap water (untreated, so boil before use). Wheelchair accessible with assistance.

Campers reckon the layout is roomy and the lake views are the pick of it, and mosquitoes tend not to be a problem here. Phone reception can be patchy, so don't count on staying connected. A relaxed base for poking around this part of the coast.
